Grandma's Fun Afternoon

Michelle came to town on Thursday January 24th to work with McKay on some computer training. So Anna and Carly came over to play with their cousins!

and many 4 other stories!

I have had this flannel board and stories for some time. It was about time I used it! FUN!

Grandma's Christmas Flower

While Grandma was visiting during the holidays and my wonderful sister mentioned that our mothers loves the Amaryilis flower. Grandma plants her own bulb in dirt and enjoys the flower. So this year we bought her one from Costco. The bulb is sitting on pebbles, very little sand and water. Wow, it did grow and produce 5 beautiful flowers while Mom was here. Now the second group of flowers have bloomed and we are enjoying the beauty!!

I took the pictures -maybe not that good--using my new awesome camera!!! and they are beautiful. I am also posting this so I will get my training and someday post without Rachel sitting by me guiding me along. :)!!

Mom was in California for a visit!

Wow, look at those good looking women! Oh, that is mother and daughter--can you tell? We had a good time and Mom taught me how to make her yummy english toffee! We enjoyed a busy December attending holiday activities. This is the first Christmas Mom was with us in a very long time --a special time! She also enjoyed our phones calls on Christmas day from Brock in El Salvador and Todd in the Middle East. That was fun for all!

Support our Troops. . . Our Todd!

Today dad showed us a new key he has on his key chain. A little concerned about the location of the 'Dodger' key he was asked what happened to it. In response he said, "I am supporting my son Todd" to which came, "You are only supporting in general terms unless Todd's name is on there somewhere." Well, you can see by the pictures dad made the change quickly. So, here is dad in his "I Support The Troops, specifically Todd, and Wear Red On Friday" picture. Hope you enjoy.

Grandpa has his "own" special books to read with his grandchildren. They are about the Book of Mormon. The girls and Grandpa enjoyed this fun time together!

P.S. This is actually me, Lorraine/Mom doing this posting with Rachel at my side giving me great instructions! Maybe I will remember this for a future posting! :)!

Camarillo 5th Ward Quilts

These are a few of the quilts our ward made for our stake humanitarian project. Our sisters have worked hard and these are about half of them. The project is coming to an end and we turn them in on Friday. Oh, no! My decorations in the living room will be GONE!
